Busra Tosun Durmus
Specialised in Educational Sociology.
Mrs. Durmuş was born in Medina, Saudi Arabia in 1979. She graduated from İstanbul Üniversity Sociology Department and took some courses in Wolkshoch Schule in Konstanz, Germany about the German language between 2002 and 2005.
In 2012 she took part in “Berlin-İst Project” which was coordinated between German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and İstanbul Üniversity Sociology and Psychology Departments. The project aimed to help young Turkish immigrants who have psychological and sociological problems to integrate society and to give an opportunity to improve their working skills.
After finishing her master degree on Journalism at İstanbul Üniversity 2015, she continued to candidate Ph.D. at the same department and she is already at the writing stage of her thesis which is about “the change of women identity in Ottoman society through positivist-materialist influence” at Ottoman Turkish press.
She was a columnist at Dünya Bizim and Haberayna portal and continues to write for Bilimevi Women Journal.
She speaks fluent English and medium level German.
She is married and has two daughters.
